As of this writing, we still don’t know when Winter Wonderland will hit. If Blizzard holds with tradition, it will launch this Tuesday, December 15 and last until Monday, January 4. We usually get skin previews in the few days leading up to the event, but this isn’t always the case anymore. I would also expect the Winter Wonderland patch to include the new Priority Pass system and Replay Viewer improvements.

Live Patch - Reinhardt buffed, Baptiste nerfed

Last week’s experimental patch hit the live servers this week with no changes to what we saw last weekend.

  • Baptiste - His Immortality Field’s hit points were decreased from 200 to 150, and the cost of his Amplification Matrix ultimate was increased by 15%. It was felt that the recent, small changes to his kit were making him stronger than intended.
  • D.Va - The armor to health ratio of her mech was changed from 200400 to 300300, an even mix. This change is intended to help her survive a little longer against enemies with beams and shotguns.
  • Reinhardt - His armor was increased from 200 to 250, and the damage from his hammer was increased by 10 damage per swing, from 75 to 85. These adjustments are to help him survive a bit longer while he’s doing his job in the frontline, making him more of a threat.

Philadelphia Fusion to APAC

The Philadelphia Fusion announced that for the 2021 season they are moving to Korea to be members of the Pacific Division.

As we continue to navigate the global pandemic, the Philadelphia Fusion’s team operations will temporarily relocate to Seoul, South Korea and will compete against teams in the Pacific Division during the 2021 Overwatch League season.

Health and safety remains our top priority in making this transition and we are working closely with the Overwatch League and local health officials to ensure the wellbeing of our players, coaches and staff while in Seoul.

No matter our physical location, we will continue to work hard to bring a Grand Finals Championship title to our incredible Fusion fans and the City of Brotherly Love.

Overwatch League Vice President Jon Spector added, “This move is one piece of the broader 2021 season plan. We know fans are looking for more details, including which teams are competing where and other format details. We’re working with all teams to finalize competition plans and will share more soon.”

Blizzard’s Holiday Patch Schedule

Community Manager Josh Nash posted saying that the changes that went live this week (the ones from above), will be the last hero balance changes of 2020.

Coming before year’s end is an “awesome” PTR, though no further details were provided.

There will be an Experimental patch within the first few weeks of the new year, and then they will resume the “regular” balance changes.
